Amazon Alexa - Skills - ExcuseMe

Are you a bad liar? Need help with an excuse as to why you just couldn't make it? Why your assignment was late? The Amazon Alexa skill, “Excuse Me”, is here to save the day. 

In this series, “Alexa, could you please”, I will chronicle my exploration of all the ways Alexa is helping out around the house or providing a little entertainment. 

Skill: Excuse Me
Helping Out around the house: No
Entertaining: Yes

Ever wish you were more spontaneous with your rationale of why you just couldn't make it to dinner? Miss a day at work? Give Alexa a little heads up and she can help you through the tough situation. 

User: “Alexa, ask Excuse Me for an excuse why I can’t make it to dinner” 
Alexa: “My sofa is dying and I am keeping it warm in its final hours” 

Now with responses like this, ExcuseMe is not seriously expecting you to use this material to get out of actual responsibilities but this skill provides some great content for laughs.

It would be cool to be able to ask ExcuseMe for different types of excuses. Ask her for an excuse: If you are late, if you can't make an appointment, if you “literally can't even” and she provides something relevant as opposed to the randomness currently being provided.  

I imagine if you asked the developer of the skill why he/she hasn’t added this feature, he/she would have plenty of excuses. (ha get it?! :))
