Recently, a co-worker and I connected on our “less than chipper” mental states. We were both forthcoming that a combination of personal and work troubles had put us in a closed mindset.

It was to the point that I realized it in myself early in the day and moved a meeting that was focused on the next wave of projects/functionality for the site.  

That evening Cadyshack was on in the background while I was catching up news on my phone and this scene spoke to me...

In the bigger picture, there was nothing materially worth changing my mental approach to the day.

Much like Spaulding, Judge Smails put me in my place.
